Scrambled eggs are super easy to make, but to much of scrambled eggs can be boring. The good thing is that you can transform eggs into something sophisticated called omelette or omelet
Omelettes are perfect because they are delicious and they are endlessly customizable. they are healthy and a great meal to start your morning. Omelettes are easy to make and the secret to a great omelette is the ingredients.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because you'd be breaking a fast, what is a great way to break a fast than making an omelette full of vegetables? Omelets are easy to make! I only used a few inexpensive ingredients but of course you can adapt the recipe to your taste.
Making an omelette at home can be a bit intimidating but believe me it's not something hard. Omelettes are filled with whatever is available in the kitchen. They can be made with left over ingredients
Omelets are a popular breakfast dish but they can also make an amazing dinner.
Anyone can make restaurant quality omelettes at home, in fact if you can make scrambled eggs then you can make omelet . the perfect omelet recipe is the one with fewer ingredients, omelets easily break when they are overfilled.
Omelette Ingredients
• Ham
• Cheese
• Carrots
• Tomatoes
• Bell of peppers
• 2 Eggs
• 1 Tablespoon of butter
• 1 Tablespoon of butter
• Onion
You can get adventurous with your omelette by having different ingredients like:
• Avocado
• Smoked Salmon
• Fried Mushrooms
• Olives
• Potatoes
• Spinach
If you add these ingredients or the ones I used then prepare the filling first, egg omelettes cook really quick so fillings bed to be chopped in small pieces before you can start frying the eggs.
HOW TO MAKE AN OMELETTE
Step 1.
Cut your bell peppers, Onion, Carrots and ham into cubes.
Step 2.
Crack and add the eggs to a bowl then add salt. beat them with a fork an
Step 3.
Put a tablespoon of butter on a heated Pan, reduce the heat to medium. Add your eggs to the pan, your vegetables and the ham.
Step 4.
Let your mixture start to cook then sprinkle some cheese on top.
Step 5.
Gently start rolling your egg using a spatula. Be careful otherwise your egg will break.
Step 6.
Switch off the stove and let your egg simmer for 4 minutes.
Step 7.
Remove from the pan and serve.
WHAT CAN YOU ADD IN OMELETTES?
You can add pretty much anything. If you want you can add cooked meat, cooked chicken, Zucchini etc.
Omelette Substitutes
Do not freak out if you are a vegetarian or a vegan, I have a substitute for my vegans and vegetarian readers.
Vegetable Omelette
If you are a vegetarian or you'd just love to have a vegetable omelette then simply omit ham. Use the vegetables I've used or your favorite vegetables.
Vegan Omelette
You can have a egg-free, gluten-free omelette but still enjoy it.
Here is a tofu omelette.
Ingredients
• 6 ounces tofu
• 1 tablespoons soy milk
• 1 tablespoons nutritional yeast
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon brown onion (onion powder)
• ½ salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
FOR THE FILLINGS
• 2 tablespoons vegan-friendly butter or margarine
• shallots
• 2 garlic cloves
• ½ cup dairy free cheese
• 1 ½ cup baby spinach
• 3 cups mushrooms
Instructions For Vegan Omelette
1. Heat oil on medium- high heat,cook chopped shallot until it becomes translucent.
2. Put onion in a blender with tofu, nutritional yeast, olive oil,tumeric and garlic powder.blend and while you are blending add a teaspoon once a time of soy milk. Blend until it becomes a smooth paste.
3. Add cornstarch and blend again for 40 seconds. Add black pepper and blend again. Set aside.
4. Using a non-stick skillet, heat vegan butter and saute garlic powder,chopped mushrooms and shallot, cook until mushrooms turn brown. Add spinach and cook. Remove from the Pan and set aside.
5. Add 1 teaspoon of vegan butter in a non-stick skillet and coat the pan.
6. Add half of the tofu batter. Using a spatula spread the batter gently to cover the bottom of the skillet.
7. Cover and cook the omelette for 6 minutes or until the top is dry.
8. Using a spatula gently flip the omelet and cook for another 2 minutes.
9. Loosen the omelette and the toppings to one side of the omelette. Gently fold over the other side of the omelet and transfer into a plate.
10. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and toppings.
Variations
Omelette Sandwich : make an omelette and add it between two bread slices. Apply butter on both sides of the sandwich, heat a pan and toast the sandwich on both sides until golden brown. Cut into diagonal and serve. An omelette sandwich is easy to make.
Cheese Omelette : Add grated cheddar cheese or processed cheese to the egg mixture to make cheese omelette. Or just sprinkling cheese on top of an already cooked omelette. You can also use mozzarella cheese and have a perfect mozzarella cheese omelette.

- 2 Tablespoons Of Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Carrots
- 1 Tomato
- Pinch Of Salt

- 1. Use an 8-inch non-stick skillet if you are going for a two-egg omelette.
- 2. Use a 10-inch non-stick skillet if you are going for a three-egg omelette.
