Pineapple upside down cake is one of the oldest cake recipe.it has still maintained it's classic appeal.Pineapple upside down cake is super easy to make.the pineapple topping is super good, you'll want every bite.
How to make caramel topping
This is the method I used to make caramel topping.
I melted butter,added brown sugar and essence then I whisked for 5 minutes with a hand held mixer.
I used brown sugar to make caramel topping,but you can use white sugar.you can also use a bit of corn syrup if you so wish.

Melt butter then add sugar and essence.whisk for 5 minutes on low heat to make caramel topping.pour in your greased baking tin,then top up the pineapple rings.
Arrange them nicely and set aside.
Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe
Follow these simple instructions and you have the perfect pineapple upside down cake recipe.
Add flour,salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl, whisk together then set aside.Mix butter and sugar until creamy,add eggs one at a time then add essence.
Add the mixed dry ingredients but by bit.add milk,sour Milk and pineapple juice til everything is mixed completely.
Pour over the Pineapples you has set aside and bake at 180°C for 40-45 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
Leave to cool for 10 minutes then flip the cake upside down.
How to flip the cake
Once your pineapple upside down cake is cool flip is out into a plate by running a spatula or a thin cake between the pan and the cake.put the plate over the cake and flip the cake into the serving plate.
Wrap the cake with a plastic wrap then with aluminum foil then store it in a fridge at room temperature.
Pineapple Cake can stay in the fridge for weeks without losing its moist and it's wonderful flavor.

Pineapple upside down cake is one of the oldest cake recipe.it has still maintained it's classic appeal.
Pineapple upside down cake is super easy to make.the pineapple topping is super good, you'll want every bite.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups all purpose flour
- 2 Teaspoon Salt
- Half Cup brown Sugar
- 150g butter
- 3 Eggs
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- Half Cup sour milk
- Half Cup Milk
- Half Cup Pineapple Juice
- 1 teaspoon caramel essence
1 Make a caramel topping: Mix butter and brown sugar then heat in a saucepan on medium heat until sugar disolves.
2 Pour your caramel into a greased pan.top up the pineapple rings,arrange them nicely on top of the caramel mixture.
3 Make Cake Batter: Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk for a minute
4 In a separate bowl add butter,sugar and start whisking using a handheld mixer.Add eggs one at a time til the mixture is creamy,lastly add essence
5 Mix the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients,beat til the mixture is smooth.slowly add milk,sour milk and pineapple juice.continue to whisk til everything is mixed together.
6 Pour cake mixture over the caramel and pineapple rings in pan.spread cake batter over caramel carefully in order for the cake to be smooth.
7 Bake the cake at 180°C for 40-45 minutes.insert a toothpick into the center of the cake.when it's 40 or 45 minutes,remove the toothpick from the cake.if the toothpick comes out clean then the cake is fully baked.
8 Cool the cake for 10 minutes. Flipping the cake:once your upside down cake is cool,flip it out into a serving plate by running a spatula or a thin knife between the cake and the pan.put the serving plate over the cake and flip into the serving cake. 9 Cherries:Add one cherry in the center of each pineapple round. Serve with a cup of coffee or a cup
