Homemade poppy seed chicken
Made with simple ingredients, well not the ones you can already find in your pantry.the ingredients are easy to find at your local supermarket.you'll only dedicate a few minutes in preparing the meal and a few minutes to an hour to cook the meal.Casseroles aren't fancy, what makes them fancy is the preparation and the presentation afterwards.
How to make poppy seed chicken casserole
To make poppy seed chicken casserole you need 6 cups chopped chicken meat.Cut chicken into small pieces.of course go for the chicken breast and thighs as these are the parts with most steak.
Bake or cook the chicken.i cooked because the chicken pieces were small, cooking didn't take a lot of time.
To boil the chicken breasts or chicken thighs ,add the chicken pieces to a pot,add water ,salt and pepper, cover the pot and boil the chicken for 15 minutes
To bake the chicken pieces, just sprinkle salt and pepper to the chicken then bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Let the chicken cool.
Mix the sour cream, chicken soup, add cooked chicken and 2 tablespoons of poppy seed.

Pour into a 40x20 casserole dish and set aside.
Crush the crackers and set aside.
Melt the butter.you can melt butter by putting the butter on a plate then melting it using a microwave.or you can heat 1 cup of water then place the butter in the water, another way is directly putting the butter in a pan or in a pot then melting on the stove
Add the crushed crackers in butter.
Add 2 tablespoons of poppy seed and mix well.
Add this toppings on the chicken mixture.
Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees Celsius.
Place your casserole dish in the oven and bake for 50 minutes.
Freezing poppy seed chicken casserole
Poppy seed chicken casserole can freeze for up to 3 months.unlike other dishes, you don't need to put poppy seed chicken in a toaster or a microwave in order to unfreeze, you just need to bake the way it is for some extra minutes.
